Kenny Kidd
(All Suggest Saturday Night, Uncontrolled Burn & Friday Night Live)
Picture

Kenny Kidd's love for music started at an early age, sneaking into his sister's room to listen to her Zeppelin albums, when she wasn't home. The power of the guitars & drums mixed with Robert Plant's soulful vocals pounding through his headphones took him to another world, from which he never returned. In this World of Absolute Awesomeness, his musical taste was quickly defined as "If it doesnt rock, it's garbage".

As Kidd grew older his love of Rock N' Roll grew too. So much so in 2004 it drove him to take classes at The Ohio Center for Broadcasting, where he was presented with The Nev Chandler Award for Excellence in Broadcasting. He got his start in Akron radio giving news updates & running remote broadcasts. A few years later he moved on to Sandusky to host his own afternoon show where he was named the Best "On-Air" D.J. by his listeners for the local paper. He later joined Sports Talk 92.3 The Fan  & 98.5 WNCX in Cleveland, where he pioneered a revolution in "Classic Rock", paving the way for Generation X to have their voices heard. Apparently Corporate Radio did not like listeners voicing their opinions & straying from preprogrammed national playlists and released Kidd of his duties in June of 2021. This only fueled Kidd to launch his own station and give the people the much needed Rock N' Roll variety they deserved.

Music for me started with my folks, older cousins and friend's older siblings. We lived and died for WMMS (We Make Muzzy's Smile) Things changed with the station and I wanted heavier music, so I found college radio. Sabbath to Metallica to Slayer to Sepultura and so on, I was looking for heavier and harder. I DJ'd at a couple college radio stations and was also vocals in a couple of local bands. I was born in the snowbelt, and I'll be buried in the belt. Enough about me time to Slam!! Thanks for listening...Kidtastrophy Radio Killing It!!

Before I met Kenny, I definitely had a wide variety of musical interests.  I grew up listening to the latest pop hits that were
playing on the radio (over and over and over... again and again). I'm sure anyone can guess the songs I was singing and dancing along to in the 80's and 90's. I broadened my horizons in high school with being introduced to grunge and punk rock.  I loved experiencing my first concert (I touched Lenny Kravitz' shoulder!) and going to Warped Tours.

Meeting my friend Sue really opened the music box even more, especially with hard rock and heavy metal.  A professional career
woman who rocked at concerts on a weekly basis?  Sue was my idol!  I borrowed many Megadeth, Faith No More, Suicidal Tendencies, and Alice Cooper CD's.

When I met Kenny, he not only exposed me to many other bands, musicians, and styles, but he opened up my soul to the art of music-
the story, the message, the feeling, the imagination, the connection. I owe most of my music knowledge to my husband, the one and only, Mr. Kenny Kidd.

The creation of Kidtastrophy Radio gives a chance for listeners beyond Cleveland, Ohio to experience what amazing music and
personality he brings each and every time, with also giving us a chance for our voices to be heard. I love all you metal heads,
headbangers, and hard rockers out there who listen. I'm happy to give you an hour each week of songs I love Rockin' out to.

Larzz
(Mechanical Chaos)

Hey Kiddiots! I’m Larry Richardson, AKA, Larzz (No one actually calls me that BTW). I’ve been involved in music in some way, shape, or form since I was around 7- while spending much time as a kid in Central Pennsylvania, I was immersed in Hee-Haw Bluegrass/Country, Polka, and 70’s standards. But my tastes started turning to heavier forms of music in the mid-70’s with the release of Kiss Destroyer, Frampton Comes Alive, Aerosmith Rocks, and my discovery of The Eagles. I was also steered towards Yes, Zeppelin, and of course, my older cousin started showing me the ways of Blue Oyster Cult. By the early 80’s I had discovered Priest and Maiden, and all bets were off. My love for Euro metal was discovered – and I was fortunate enough to spend 4 years of my life in Europe during my time in the military, in my free time always taking in everything from the largest summer festivals to the smallest underground metal clubs (which sometimes doubled as discotheques). Upon my return I banged around the Cleveland metal scene as a bass player. I am honored to have the opportunity to bring my love of old and new school Power, Prog, Thrash (and who knows what else!) to you via this show on Kidtastrophy Radio!

Tyler Logged In
(No Destination)

Picture
A ten year veteran of the live entertainment and radio industry, Tyler has overseen and booked a decade of shows and artists in the Chicago landscape, and reached such heights the decade-long run culminated in the only EDC festival to ever take place in the Chicago area. After a hiatus of several years Tyler returns, shedding their performance name and simply "Logging In" as the human being Tyler. A ten year anniversary of Tyler's debut is already in the works as well as two full length LPs for fall of 2024 and spring 2025.

It has been a long and incredible journey that created the careers of many, several of which lend no appreciation to Tyler, or even the city of Chicago. But now it seems it's time for Tyler to make his own career in the modern music landscape. And shed light on a decade-long struggle in his own case, and the 30+ year struggle of DJ International on the "DJ International" radio show on Centreforce Radio in the UK, where we have interviewed pioneers of the electronic dance genre from the 80s and 90s of Chicago House Music.

Now Tyler begins a new journey with Kidtastrophy Radio, a journey with "No Destination.' Every last Saturday of the month at 6 PM.

I can't remember a time when music was not a constant in my life. Whether it was listening to the radio when mom drove me to school every day, or flipping through my folks LP's, being captivated by all the album artwork, there was something about music that just compelled me to keep looking for more. I placed my first Columbia House order at 8 years old (still owe them that penny) and as soon as I popped in the album 1984, everything changed. Once I hit high school, I made friends with like-minded people that introduced me to heavier and heavier music. And it was 1992 when I saw my first concert, The Spudmonsters at the Empire Concert Club. That was it. I was hooked, hooked by the power, the energy, and the love I saw that music could create. And now I hope y'all will take this dive with me as I share that love with you. We are going off The Deep End.
